Headrobots Cobra Head Headmaster Review (Sample Colours) - Picture heavy

So I just got in the mail a sample of Headrobots upcoming Cobra Head robot. Again, this item is not the final product, just a preview sample.

EDIT: I sort of posed the cobra incorrectly, with the cobra "ears" low.

Packaging:
It comes in a clear one-piece plastic card that is re-closeable and comes with no tape (No problems for MISBers). Mine came with the design that is an homage to original G1 Decepticon boxart, and the back mimics the original back boxart of the original 6 rare exclusive headmasters. It comes with English and Japanese text. Heck, even those silly points are in the back (bottom left).

Item
Material:
This item is very well made IMO, with a nice matt finish to most of the plastic surface. The eyes and visor are painted in yellow and does look a bit light.
The colours are just 2 tones of grey, but again, it will differ from the final product (stated to be a grey and khaki colour combo, can be seen on headrobots' website)

Design:
Beast mode
Wow, totally fresh and amazing. The animal mode is a cobra with tank tracks. There's even detail of the cobra head "grill" marks on the bottom part. There's also a mini tail at the back.

The Cobra cannot literally "crawl" on the ground, the block used to secure onto Headmaster bodies won't fit into the crevasse underneath but I've been told that may change with the final version, since another piece is used instead. *crawly crawly*

Headmaster mode
the snake folds up into the head, which has the design of a visor and faceplate. Its triangular in design. Clearly with a villian appearance.

Headmaster gimmick:

A lot of detail went into this, including the statistics of the snake. I believe the stats are:

Speed: 7
Strength: 5
Intelligence: 6

Here's a picture with Duros and his stats:

You can also use it in Cobra mode when attached to a body.

The snake can also give a ride to other headmasters, heh.

Summary:
As a G1 collector, I find this neat little item a refreshing 3rd party item. I'm really looking forward to the other upcoming items too, which really made a nice addition to Headmaster/Universe toys. The price is $18 USD, which is pretty reasonable, if you've ever hunted for Headmaster parts.

BBTS is also selling it (with different card styles: G1, Joustra, etc.), but I'm hoping some Canadian sellers will be carrying it too.

Please post here if you have any other questions, I'll answer them as best as I can.

I'm happy people are taking one for the team and ordering Cobra to help HeadRobots release Hothead. Cause I can't wait to get him - that is If I can get a Hardhead.. he's skyrocketed ever since the news was out..

Yeah the cobra is awesome. Hardhead upgrade has a few features that we have not yet released to the public yet. But it will be what City Commader was for fansproject. The cobra is like the Cliffjumper upgrade set.

One major aspect that many of you are missing is the designs origins.

The Cobra snake tank is not just a made up concept. It is solely based on concept sketches from Takara. I know cause im the one that found the sketches.

see the links below.

Wait, not sure I understand... A different group is going to release another version of the cobra head much like 2 different groups released their version of Autoscout?
