Need ToysRUs Hasbro 25% off Play Day Coupon in London, ON
 

Just got I think very lucky and was able to purchase a MP SW at the London TRU yesterday.

I did not have one of those 25% off Play Day coupons going around and could not find any of the booklets at the store.

Its occurring that with the receipt I should be able to get an adjustment made after the fact for this and the other Hasbro items purchased at the same time..

What I need is for somebody in London who has an extra they are not going to be able to use by August 31st to hook me up. I'd be mega appreciative. Private message me if you can help.

I believe that code may be just for Hasbro.com, based on what your provided link indicates. The coupon that was made available at TRU stores in Ontario made mention of a coupon code (HASBRO25PD) for use on http://www.tru.ca/. However as far as I had heard one needed the physical coupon in store.

However if anybody knows different and can speak of using the code in store without a physical coupon and especially as an adjustment after initial purchase I'd greatly appreciate a tutorial on how you went about that.

Pretty sure they won't adjust for the coupon after the fact. Most have fine print saying "must be presented at time of purchase". Just be happy you got a SW

All he would have to do if they pushed the fact, would be to return the item and then re-buy it from them. Most places will simply adjust within a 2 week time frame to avoid hassles.

I have absolutely no idea if this would help, but you may want to try contacting their customer service line as well. They're still accepting the coupon code for online orders and adjusting it after the fact, so they might consider doing the same for in-store purchases. It can't hurt to try.

I looked for the coupon in the London TRU and couldn't find it either, so who the hell knows.

When you make an in-store purchase, you MUST have the physical coupon as they scan a barcode from it to apply the discount. TRU's return policy is 45 days, so if you can get one of those coupons between now and the 31st, you should be able to get the price match. That being said...

^This. Many people did not get him at all, and are eagerly awaiting the next release next month. You should be happy that you got one when you did.

An excellent point, and indeed I truly am happy I could get one. I would leave things at that if all I picked up was SW.

However I'm asking as my wife surprised me and on the same purchase picked up a number of Playskool items for various upcoming birthday parties. The coupon is intended to defray a not insignificant part of that unexpected extra expense.
