Oh man, I absolutely LOVED this show!

PROS:
-Not a wasted moment of screen time. Every second counted towards both plot and character development

-Stunning visuals... really left me with a feeling that Cybertron as a planet was in its death throws

-Enjoyed all the G1 and Cartoon references, specifically:

-How Megs doesn't just blast wheeljack and Bee, and says to Starscream that this was not supposed to be a genocide (or something to that effect), showing he had honour in his vision
Reminded me of The All Hail Megatron IDW comic

-Reference to the IDW comic "Megatron Origins" where megatron was a slave minor and started a revolution against the people in power, as well as reference to the gladatorial, fighting pits.

-Loved the fact that it stayed true (mostly) to the G1 lore and the foundation that started the Franchise.

-Liked that Soundblaster got his own unique individual character, and that it was explained in the show

-Oh my god, Guardians! Totally popped for that. (Man Omega was a BEAST)

-The fact they had Alpha freakin Trion as a central character in this (man I hope we get a toy)

-Liked that all the siege toys were featured in the movie and it didn't seem like they were just trying to cram them in. (well I guess most of them, poor crosshairs, and i'm sure I'm missing some others)

CONS:
-Too short! Could have binge watched more episodes for days

-Didn't like the personality changes they made to hound and Ironhide

-Gotta get used to some of the new voices, they weren't bad, just different

-Cobra Commander had a great point in mentioning there were not enough transformation sequences

-Netflix mirage toy in show colours is a poor excuse to sell the same toy twice. I would have preferred a battle damaged version, then at least i could get the toy. By the way if you have one, please let me know, I'm looking to buy.

And I'm selling:
MIB Siege Ironhide
MIB Siege Soundwave

so if you are looking for them, please send me a pm.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts,
Cheers:clapping:

Random stuff...

I liked seeing the lazer beaks, buzzsaws acting like vultures, picking away at some dead bots.

I liked some of the tetra jet colour schemes, the gold/black comes to mind.

I liked seeing all the recoloured bots, lots of sideswipe, hounds and cog variations.

Where's Springer, Sixshot, Apeface, Brunt?

The sfx for Soundwave/Soundblaster voices would be nicer if they were deeper and clearer.

The helmet of Decepticon Impactor doesn't quite match the toy, looks like they used the Autobot Impactor head instead.

Lots of Refraktors, but no camera mode :(

Add some hair band background music :p OK maybe not that one.

I thought the series was terrible. The story was very stilted and overall pretty boring. Lots of parts made little sense. The backstory was not explained well. The Cybertron setting was terrible it was just so nondescript wasn’t able to get a sense as to what I was looking at. Only TFs that transformed regularly were the seekers. Autobot’s rarely transformed some never at all. There was one scene to escape AB jumped into a vehicle - why not just transform? Rust Sea story was nonsense. OP didn’t seem very powerful also came across as a week leader. How easily the AB escaped time after time was laughable - especially the Soundblaster scene. There’s a lot not to like here. Nice to see the toy line in a cartoon but that’s about it. Other series such as TF Prime are much much better.

Binged the new animated Transformers series on Netflix today. Kept my expectations low and very happy with how it ended up. The choices of voices for the characters was very good (except for Ironhide) but the voice acting was hit and miss. Sadly, Optimus Prime had the worst voice actor of all. His words were just way too spaced apart. It's also very short at only six 30-minute episodes.
Still, there are a lot of positives. The story was very good and visually it was great. It's neat how they used the CAD files for the toys and used them in the show.

This easily became the best transformers animated series for me.

There was a lotta "OOF", but it kept my attention for 2 hours. Some genuine laughs! Some pretty bad writing and even worse voice acting coupled with really cool backgrounds, character models and smoke/particle effects. Visually the best we've seen, but it kinda felt like a upgraded Galaxy Force/CYBERTRON as far as all the clunky "CG MODEL RUNNING.EXE" stuff...

Still looking forward to the rest (BRING ON SCORPONOK!) but will likely lose me when they introduce BW.

Ultra Magnus has no luck in shows with a run time over 60 minutes
