Simply put. They placed it on the wrong peg and had to honour the price

Not really. I told them when it scanned it was wrong price and that is was clearly marked on the pegs at 6.97. Manager went and verified and said it was placed in wrong spot and I simply said that it's not my fault, thought it was on sale and I don't check the UPC's on their tickets. Done deal
