Re: B&K Collectibles site now open ....
Hey Xtreme, thanks for making this post!! We've definitely had several days of updates on the site to re-vamp the look and the feel, plus change some of our lineup. We've been given the same talk-to as some of the other retailers, so we now charge taxes, but the bonus to that for you is that we've also dropped pricing to help compensate for that and to be competitive. Also, flat-rate shipping has been retired. It was a great idea, but it made smaller items really expensive. Now we use a system that uses your postal code and pulls direct from Canada Post! We've also added features to help you out, like a wishlist you can share on Facebook, Twitter, or email, and a new events widget that is cleaner than it's predecessor.
We appreciate all of your patience while we got this done. While we are still tweaking it and changing things, we felt it was good to open while we finish up those changes, SO WELCOME!!!!
Transformers News
Combiner Wars are coming to B&K! We have them en-route now and we are hoping that we will have them in our warehouse by next week, bar any shipping delays. We are expecting to have wave 1 of Voyager, Deluxe, and Legends coming in. More info once we receive confirmations.
We've had *some* of the Chromia and Arcees come in, but our latest round of conventions have virtually wiped us out. We are trying to get some more in from our distributors, so stay tuned for that.
Expansion News
As some of you may have seen at recent shows, we're starting to look at expansion into other lines. At this time, we're being selective as we still grow. This allows us to keep concentrated on what brought us to the game, but also serve some other interests. We wanted to pick something competitive, but also something that Canadians wanted/needed (well, maybe not so much needed.) We've dropped into the world of Funko Pops and ino WWE Elite figures. The Elite figures were a bit of a gimmie because there is only one retailer in Canada that Mattel will provide these to, so it made sense to use our resources to bring them in from the US. Funkos... well, they are hot and relatively inexpensive, at $12.99 each (except the cars and the huge ones). We've got a bunch of those coming in that are not listed yet, including X-Men and we have the Star Trek:TNG series preordered as well, just to name some.
Definitely a big time for B&K, and we appreciate all your support and we plan on continuing to make things better for Collectors as we move forward.
