We Are Gonna Get More Transformers Movies!
 

So Travis Knight said that there are other Transformers films in the works but they'll only be made if Bumblebee makes a profit.

TFW2005 reported that Bumblebee had to make more than 337.5 Million worldwide to break even. And I just checked Box Office Mojo and the yellow Autobot has brought in $364,769,977 worldwide.

Viacom CEO is saying that Bumblebee is "Solidly Profitable".

Here's hoping we get an 80s Optimus Prime movie!!

I'm very excited too. I'd love to see a sequel take place right after the Bumblebee movie with VW BBee, Peterbuilt Prime, Porsche Jazz, Datsun Prowl, Lambourghini Sideswipe, Jeep Hound, Vanette Ironhide, Vanette Ratchet, & Lancia Wheeljack on earth. I'm basing this on the seven meteors coming at the end of the BBee movie.

Plus, all those characters showed up in the Bay movies in various incarnations. Except for Prowl, unless he goes rogue (like the IDW series) and becomes Barricade in 2007.

Wishful thinking but one can always dream. :)

Well, it's not really that surprising, since Bumblebee made money, and all of Paramount's other major franchises, Star Trek and TMNT, are both face down in the dirt.

Apparently TMNT isn't down in the dirt as a new TMNT movie was announced, just unclear if a reboot or carry over from Out of the Shithole...I mean Shadows.
