Transformer: The Last Knight Movie Premier Figures Released At Retail
1 Attachment(s)
Thanks to board member cloudhopper for letting us know they have found the Transformers: The Last Knight Movie Premier Voyager and Deluxe figures at their local Toys R Us in Quebec.
Voyagers consist of:
Grimlock (Age Of Extinction repaint)
Optimus Prime
Deluxe assortments:
Barricade
Berserker
Bumblebee
Slash
Voyagers carry the hefty price tag of $39.99 + tax while the Deluxe are an equally pricey $29.99 + tax.
Have you found these yet? Will you be picking them up right away or are you going to wait for a sale?
Let us know after the jump!

Re: Transformer: The Last Knight Movie Premeir Figures Released At Retail
Bloody heck, that's expensive. Maybe Walmart's prices will be cheaper? There's no way I can spend $30 on a deluxe, even if they are good figures.

Re: Transformer: The Last Knight Movie Premeir Figures Released At Retail
Well, F those prices.
I'll wait for a half price sale. Otherwise I'll just save my money and third party stuff. A little more bang to buck if you shop right.

Re: Transformer: The Last Knight Movie Premeir Figures Released At Retail
Nope to the nope. Actually putting paint on figures does not qualify a $10 price hike. Absolutely nothing is a 'must have' for me now. Sale or bust.

Re: Transformer: The Last Knight Movie Premeir Figures Released At Retail
Just re-read their current sale ad and the 25% off sale should at least apply to the deluxes as their ad states "25% off ALL $79.99 and Under Transformers Figures, Vehicles and Playsets excluding Voyagers, Playskool Heroes and Clearance" plus you should still be able to use that 10% off coupon code as well so that should bring the cost down a bit even though I think it's still way too high for a deluxe TF figure.

Re: Transformer: The Last Knight Movie Premeir Figures Released At Retail
That is pretty expensive and I've been looking for them for a month or so. I don't know, I want to get Optimus and Barricade as soon as possible, I just don't know if that price is worth it. When I think about it, a price jack was bound to happen.

Seriously?! What the hell Hasbro and TRU. It's was bad enough with the Titans Return price hike but $30 for a Deluxe?! That's disgusting! Such a money grab. Watch these be shelf warmers just because of that hike. Hell let's boycott these guys until they lower it!

Re: Transformer: The Last Knight Movie Premeir Figures Released At Retail
I like movie figures, but NOPE not gonna pay $30 for deluxes or $40 for Voyagers.
Question is whether all the Generations TLK figures are going to be this "Premier" pricing...

Re: Transformer: The Last Knight Movie Premeir Figures Released At Retail
How sad. They think us Canadians are willing to pay absurd prices for repaints in boxes labelled "Premium". Pathetic.
This is going down just as I predicted. We're going to have one hell of a time finding Generations stuff now with how badly TLK stuff is gonna shelfwarm.

Collect dust and warm the pegs. The pricing is absolutely ridiculous and unnecessary except to attempt to gouge the uninformed buyer. Do not support this line and pricing!

A typical tru sale is 25% off... makes voyagers $30 on sale. Just stupid.

Too rich for my blood..
RIDs were tough to justify at $20/deluxe considering the build quality.
$30 is out of sight for my budget personally.

Exactly! Which is why I don't get any of them either. I mean, I recall not so far in the past seeing mp Optimus for 159.99. Now the reissue coming out around MP 36 time is 219? For a reissue? Obviously just a grubby money grab. I get it, inflation happens. I got back into collecting in 2012. In five years I have seen deluxes go from 12.99 to 14.99 to 16.99 to 17.99 to 19.99 and now 29.99? Inflation of that scale does not happen that fast. The financial buck gotta stop somewhere and if we keep shelling that out then Hasbro will think it is acceptable to keep charging that across the board, and that isn't okay. Doesn't help that I live in NL where sales tax is 15 percent. Yeah, our premier is the Donald Trump of provincial politics lol. If others can economically justify the price hokes to this degree this fast then cool. I just can't support it and feedback here on the boards suggests I am not alone. You know, this wouldn't happen with proper cost saving measures, like eliminating the 1 and 3 step gimmick nonsense and the mess that is crash Combiners. Save plastic and paint for good figures lol.

Out of budget even if on principle alone. That's right Hasbro, alienate the fans, brilliant marketing idea. They REALLY need a brand manager that has a clue.

These new price points apply for the entire movie line. We have known since february when Hasbro revealed the new price point per class. Voyagers are all 30$ USD now which is 40$ CDN.

I dont understqand pascale, every single deluxe, voyager and leader is Premier edition for the movie line. Its not a subline, its the whole line.
The MSRP for all movie toys will be the same.

Actually I think the 1 steps aren't premier edition and stuff.
Either way, with this new price range Hasbro, whatever koolaid you're drinking I'd love to take some myself.
I predict toy sales in Canada for this movie line will be worse than ever before. I just hope we keep getting TR stock in so I can finish getting all the waves I want at the same prices they've been charging for them.

Premier Edition = preview line. The actual line will be something else. Not all the toys unveiled so far belong to the Premier Edition line.

Kind of like the 'First Edition' figures we had for Transformers Prime that were amazing?
Then it was 'robots in disguise' for the regular packaging.
So far, I've only seen packaging with 'premier' including the second wave of voyagers.

did you read what I wrote? Deluxes, voyager and leaders.
All of them. They are all Premier Edition. please show me any toy revealed from that class which isnt.
All deluxes will be $30 and all voyagers will be $40
The leaders arent out till after the movie gets released so how in the world could it be a preview line? hasbro released the MSRPs that apply to the whole line.
Please show me otherwise.

yeah thats because "premier edition" is not a subline, its the whole line and hasbro confirmed as such, with the official product descritpion (and price) for each class that will be applicable for the entire line.
https://www.seibertron.com/transform...toyfair/37379/
I have no clue where people are basing the idea that Premier is a subline, there is 0 evidence showing that.
I think people are just in denial at this price hike.
