I haven't been to the TRU in a while, but I'm sure wave 2's there by now (the one with Shockwave & Skyhammer), especially since I've seen Sentinel Prime who's newer. I also remember seeing Skyhammer about a month ago at some point, so it couldn't have been skipped all together.

When I go there, it's usually on Sunday (as I'm already in the area for a Yugioh tournament), so I should be able to let you know in a couple of days as to what's there recently (as there's no guarantee that what was there a month ago is still there now). If not, maybe you can get a raincheck & then continue the hunt when you're back home.


Edit - Got shit to do on Sunday, so I'll probably check on Saturday instead.

Yes and no...


It depends when you bought your TFs from Zellers (within 14 days is the limit for Zellers policy on price match but I can be wrong) and if you can convince them to give you Battle Blades OP on sale since it's not MechTech (because the TRU flyer actually mentions MechTech)

I bought them about a week ago, so im within the time limit. However, I already opened the Sentinel, so.. might have to pack that up. Do I need the acutal flyer in order to price match? or can you just use a web flyer? I'm not close to a TRU but theres one within the city.

An actual flyer is best. Sometimes, depending on the person they won't accept flyer from the "web".

Zellers LaSalle (in Montreal) is getting really evil (I can't confirm with other Zellers yet...)

This Zellers would NOT allow me (or anyone) to PRICE MATCH with a Toysrus flyer when I tried today (I talked to cashier AND a supervisor)!!! :argh:

I asked why and they told me "they just sell toys so we can't"



So I told them you just lost $60 worth of business from me and that Walmart will be getting it instead

Well, someone could always ask to get a hold of their price matching policy (the full document) and then go from there. I mean if nothing else, it'd be funny to see how they'd back up their false claim of TRU only selling toys, and of course make it easier for us to know exactly how we can can best avoid getting played.


@ Redrobotor: I already made a post in the BC sightings thread, but I was in the Kelowna TRU today & found 1 Skyhammer among the sea of Optimus. I left it kinda hidden toward the back right side on the shelves, but no guarantees.

not just DOTM voyagers! my gf and i picked up grappel and lugnut for 17 each! was lookin for an ironhide, but no such luck.

I went to the local TRU in Kamloops and the ONLY DOTM Voyager they had was a single Prime. Although now I see that it would have applied to the HFTD Grapple I saw there. Dammit!
