I'm still just as shocked as you guys.

It's still bizarre i managed to come across him so early.

also good to see it wasn't just a fluke and other Apeface's were spotted across Ontario.

So, how's his backpack in robot mode? Is the gorilla head just hanging off his butt or you can flip it up inside the nosecone?

Just picked him up and he's better than all the reviewers last week said. The apemode is solid but you have to lock everything in just right.

I think hes a spot on recreation of the original. The plane mode is the weakest part IMO. peeps complain about the ape face sticking out but I think the teeth make it look like a shark. Like how the decal up fighter jets with teeth. real cool. Lamest part is the cockpit so far back and the shield covering it up. Also be careful with the shield. It seems like the peg is crying to get broken.

Chest untabs too easily. Too many parts with flexy plastic on that thing.

He's a pass for me, but reading on him, and there's been mention of the peg breaking for a good number of people as it's too long and too tight fitting in it's default hole. (giggidy)

Some have started to either enlarge the peg hole, or have cut the peg shorter.

Stick the headmaster sitting right side up in the gorilla head and he’s now in the cockpit and can transport/power up with a prime master in the back

Who is Apeface shipping with? I found 1 at EB and they had OP and Megs there... they're not shipping him with Megs again are they?

He's packed with prime.

The shield peg is not too long. It's fine. The hole in the back for the shield in jet and ape mode is too tight. I sanded it out a bit to 3/4 of the way down and its now a perfect fit. It also now allows for pegging the shield onto the canopy and can raise and lower with it and peg in. thats a double win.
