Thanks for the shout-out on this episode guys. :D

One correction from at the ~36-minute mark: Japan did get Nemesis Breaker, as Dark Ligerjack (a TRU exclusive) with the purple accents (these parts are either painted gray, or simply unpainted on Nemesis Breaker).

Oh, man! I'm such a sucker for black repaints. When I get around to redoing my shelves, I'm going to have one dedicated to black repaints.

But I think they do do black repaints far too often lately. They should be a little more rare and special. Like every movie Prime mold got a black repaint in Japan. It's frustrating.

Yeah, they don't feel special anymore. There's too many of them nowadays. I guess it doesn't help that they release Optimus in virtually every single size-class in the recent toylines, and THEN they release the Black/Nemesis of him as well...

Interestingly, the one Optimus that never got released in a black version that I REALLY wish they did is Galaxy Convoy (either the Leader-class, or even the THS-01).

Taken from Takara's own Kreo Manga comic strip series. It's got a billion awesome little cameos from characters that don't have proper Kreons (...yet?), and even human ones!

Read recently on collectiondx that the first black repaint was in 1978 for a Raideen figure in Japan.
