Big thanks to board member Phtcndn for letting us know that they spotted the much anticipated G1 Blaster reissue.
The sighting was reported at a Calgary Walmart.
*edit Sightings have also been reported in Manitoba

Same as the original, cassettes were sold separately.

I am sure the cassettes are coming in pair carded packs just like they did originally. Which is the whole point of these G1 releases. Which is also exactly what I want. :)

Maybe because he's all plastic, unlike Prime, Starscream, Hot Rod, Soundwave, Astrotrain... is he?

Correct, the only diecast parts on Blaster are where the arms meet the torso, as far as I know.

Maybe. But I doubt Astrotrain has $35 worth of diecast on him.

Last year we knew SW and the tapes were coming. And we knew Blaster won the Poll against Skywarp. So I'm not sure there will be any Autobot tape sets this year. I haven't seen them announced unless I totally missed it?

I havent seen anything but chances are pretty high. Soundwave is coming out with 2 cassettes, they are doing another production run of the Spy Patrol 3 set.. I find it hard to believe they wouldnt make a rumble/frenzy available with the new soundwave.

Victoria Walmarts have their first Blaster stock.

4 to a box. 3 remain at Langford. 8 at Uptown as of 9:30pm Pacific time (August 31st)

I wonder if I'll manage to get one? I never did get an Astrotrain, or one of the 2 tape sets for Soundwave. :/


I checked on stocktrack.ca using the SKU and it shows 0 anywhere in S. Ontario. Of course, the site could be wrong.


Edit: Actually that whole topic makes me kind of sad. I really would have liked to have gotten FT's Astrotrain and Blitzwing, but money's been a tad tight this year with COVID, and now the pre-orders are all booked up anyways. :/ I guess I have to make a decision soon on MP Arcee too. *sigh* :/

Seen at North Walmart, Red Deer Alberta. They have 5 left @ $39.99
