TRU's "free shipping", not so free.
 

So I just ordered POTP Predaking off TRU, used the 10% off code and saved $23, but noticed that I only got $10 off my shipping. Now, that brought my shipping down to only $3.79, but I got curious and called the customer service line.

I've previously seen most things on there with a tag saying "orders over $49 ship free" or something like that.
The CSR told me that the free shipping isn't an "across the board" thing, it's only on select items, also, if you are buying multiple items, but not all of them have the free shipping offer, you will still have to pay the shipping.

So if you buy POTP voyager Starscream at $39.99, it says "free shipping when you spend $49". But if the other stuff you buy DOES NOT HAVE THAT, no matter how much you spend, you will still be paying the shipping on all of it!


Kinda stupid.

Not 100% sure, but I think I used to order something that is not free shipping, and added another item with free shipping, the whole order became free shipping. You could still test this on their website.

Huh, weird. That's not what the TRU CSR guy on the phone told me.
