Not to be a downer but this is the Takara Soundwave - not a Hasbro release.

Still - you never know what will show up at the Toy shows.

^ Do you have a source to confirm this? Because I'm about this close to cancelling my MP Soundwave order if there's the likely possibility of us getting him locally. Which I really hope we do.

Why wouldn't we get Soundwave locally though? My guess is Soundwave will come with 4/5 cassettes for $100 as a North American release. This character is to iconic for Hasbro to pass up.

I sincerely hope that Hasbro and TRU learned from the MP OP fiasco and make it so there are enough of both for everyone.

nope, this time one case of figures per province. i have less of a chance of seeing soundwave than i did prime. i'll stick with takara at least they distribute their figures

The scalpers were the problem, not Hasbro and TRU.

One of my local TRUs instituted a one per family policy on mp10 when some guy who was bragging about ebaying them for 350 came in with his wife and teenage son and tried to buy 7 EACH! that's 21 mp10's in one day. Sqme guy had been in the day before as well.

forget her name now but maybe its donna at the kanata TRU told him to put them.all back except one, and from that point forth they held to a one per family policy (obviously hard to enforce).

I dont think its fair to blame hasbro or tru at all, if they had shipped twice as many in Canada the same problem would occur.

Personally.i can afford to get into masterpiece, which is fine by me. they are great figs but a lot of trouble even if you want to try to stick to the iconic figures.

I have a Takara version of Soundwave on the way, but I wouldn't mind the cassettes at a cheaper price if Hasbro releases them.

Problem is this is also the customer service that said MP-10 would not be a TRU exclusive.

TRU Australia stocks Takara MP's so this could very well be the customer service confirming stock of the Takara MP and not a Hasbro release.

I would hold off on cancelling soundwave orders.

Holy crap, your local TRU had 21 mp-10's at one time? The ones by me were getting 3-4 at a time and they were gone the second they hit the shelf.

I have the Takara stuff on order already, but will totally buy a Hasbro release of these to keep the Takara ones in their plastic and cardboard prisons.

More than meets the eye for sure...

It is hard to place because there is initial release purchases and then the missed one back sourced and paying a nice premium for hard to find items.

Ball park figure is $2500

good call. I never factored them. I was just thinking on the lines of Tak and Hasbro
Up around $3300 now with Igear PP-03 and Medic/Warrior sets

You know what the sad thing is? I probably will never have a chance to buy these by the time Hasbro discontinues them after just a month. I seriously don't see why discontinuing MP Prime and TC before Christmas was good idea. I have yet to obtain a masterpiece figure.
