The end of a 10 years adventure...
 

Good evening to all,

I hope everyone is well.

Some big news tonight: some of you already know, some probably expected it. I wanted to inform everyone that Automaton Toys will be closing it’s doors at the end of April :(

The reasons are quite simple: it’s just too much for me to manage the store, work the day job and take care of my family and friends. One of the above had to go and the choice, if not easy, was clear.

I want to say a gigantic thank you to everyone who supported both Mario and me during all these years. Canadian Transformers fans are truly great!

As a fellow TF vendor, I can totally relate. TF specific vendors are often stuck in that middle ground of loving what they do, but not able to make a living at it (hence the day job), not to mention the usual goodies of family, friends, etc. I have heard nothing but great things about your store, and while we've never met in person, you're absolutely right, Canadian Transformer fans are the best.

You definitely made the right call and When and if you ever relaunch, I'm sure you'd be welcomed with open arms.

Sad to see Automaton Toys close its doors.

For what it's worth, my first order with Automaton was on October 26 2008, and was a preorder for both red and silver Alternity Primes.

Wow, this is definitely sad news.
I'll be honest, I wasn't the most regular Automaton shopper, but the times I did order, I found the service to be extraordinary.

I only ever bought from you a few times, I really don't do a lot of online shopping, but those few times were great. I never had anything bad to say about Automaton Toys. You guys were one of the better sites.

My TF collecting fell way off the last couple years, but before that I was a fairly regular customer. Automaton was my gateway into the pitfalls of 3P toys. Thanks for costing me so much money over the years! I enjoyed every minute of it! All the best!

Mario sold most of his stuff (from his personal collection) on Ebay. I guess Justin will do the same or try the Facebook Marketplace or something. He'll want his money back for sure.
