You guys who ordered with the coupons ONLINE are getting ripped off because you are paying for shipping which offsets the savings...

Well, the buy-2-get-one-free and 10% off can still work well online, but it’s hard to make the $20 off $50 work well online as if it brings you under $50 (3 deluxes, a Leader, etc) then yeah half of the savings gets lost to shipping.

I freaking love these coupons, especially with a sale on. I had previously bought Swoop and Slash at reg price ($20 + $13 = $33 + tax) but just now went and returned those 2 unopened and for the same ~$33 + tax got Swoop, Slug, Slash, and Micronus in store (sale prices plus the $20 off $50 coupon).

Lots of us here are power-shoppers online, so I'm sure we can figure out how adding a cart filler to get the total to $49.xx (for their free shipping to kick-in) after the coupon is applied. :)

~$20
~$20
~$13

~$53

Ok, I put on the cheapskate hat and pulled up a spreadsheet to see what's realistically possible in terms of maximizing savings if you're planning on buying all the new molds in the first wave. Don't bet the farm on my math, because I could have made a mistake.

To buy the 2 Leaders, 2 Voyagers, 4 deluxes, 3 new Legion molds, and the 3 Prime Masters, would cost $323 dollars.

If it were possible to get $20 off $50 everytime, the maximum savings possible is $129.

Closest we can get to $50 is One Voyager $30, one legends $13, and a Prime Master $8, which is $51.

For Leader class figuers at $60, it doesn't matter if you use the $20 off coupon or the buy 2 get one free coupon. Because the cost averages out to be exactly the same, $40 per leader.

So best groupings I could think of is to buy each leader on its own, saving 20 on each.

Buy two groups of 1 voyager, 1 legends, 1 prime master, saving 20 on each.

Buy one group of 2 deluxes, 1 legion saving $20

And that leaves 2 deluxe, and 1 prime master, which you use the buy 2 get one free coupon on, saving 8 dollars.

Total savings on $323 is $108, which is roughly 33% off. Compared to $129 if you could some how get 40% off.

I think $108 the best we can hope for, unless you're teaming up with friends. You can probably squeeze out 10 more dollars if you can make up the last $2 on the last grouping.

But adding in another Prime Master or another legion figure won't do much for the savings, the closer the grouping total gets to $60, the closer the discount gets to 33%

The $20 off and B2G1 coupons clearly state they can only be used on regular priced items.

I don't mind if TRU staff aren't following those instructions :)

Picked up the Strength set on Thursday
Sale had it down to $119.99
Used ($20 off $50+) coupon, down to $99.99
Used (free $10 gift card from buying $50 TRU gift card), down to 89.99

Tax in, was about $101 total

The WWS coupon claimed "cannot be used with other coupons"
BUT
The $10 gift card claimed "can be used with other coupons"
I showed both of these to the cashier, who attempted to scan both, thinking one would cancel out the other, but they both worked, so she allowed it
I tried to use a Kellogg's ($10 off $25+) coupon as well, but she denied it on the basis that it wouldn't scan

Oh well, Strength set for 2/3rds the price was good enough for me, took it and ran

I ended up doing 3 transactions using the 20 off

Order 1-1 leader an 1 voyager
Order 2-1 leader an 1 voyager
Order 3-3 deluxes and 2 legends

All the voyagers and legends above I had already bought at Walmart in early December (total of 164.86) so with the discounts, I’m paying 185.91 in total
