Need feedback from comic book collector
 

Hi all!

I wanted a graded copy of Marvel Transformers #1 to display with my transformers collection.

I bought this on a whim without looking too much into it.

What's your take on it? I know nothing about the value of comic book. From what I could gather, it is at or slightly below market value, but I could be wrong from my 15 minutes expertise.

Anyway, it is just out of curiosity. I'm not looking to make a profit on it and did not buy it in hope it gains value. Just for personal enjoyment.

Also, should I invest in UV filter if it is placed in indirect sunlight?

The quality on those copies is so low that you might as well read them and enjoy them. No need to invest in any particular storage format.

If you go for a mint copy, then you’ll really want to treat it well.

At first blush, it looks to be in the very good category which means it's about a 5 out of 10. But I'm hardly an expert at grading.

In terms of storage, a nice display/storage case can make even a raggedy comic look nice. But chances are you'll spend more on a display/storage case than the comic is worth. Though, if your intention is to have a nice display, then I say go for it.

I think my link might not be working.

What I've bought is already graded 8.5 by CGC.

I've paid around 188$ for it.

I think it will look nice on my wall.
