Hasbro Masterpiece Bumblebee spotted in Canada!
 

Thanks to cybertron.ca member blitz we have a reported sighting of MP Bumblebee and his domestic release from Hasbro.
The new sighting comes from a ToysRus in the Vancouver area. The figure was in the electronics section for $119

And big thanks to members Softimus_Prime, Predahank and timcrook for providing photos.

What? Are you sure? We haven't even seen official photos or even confirmation yet. The thumbnail there is even a fan Photoshop mock-up. And it's out in stores?

ok definitely waiting for the sale. The kids that made hasbro think that bumblebee is the greatest thing since sliced bread, won't be able to afford this.

Was it because of inflation that Hasbro is jacking up their prices? I remember I got MP Hotrod for like $60 after the TRU sale.....sigh

I doubt the veracity of this. No actual pic of a real in box, on shelf toy, just a fan made mock-up?
I also doubt that price. I only paid $80 for the Takara release when it first came out.
On top of no official annoucement, no appearances at the various toy fairs or Botcon, and it shows up in Canada first?
It seems fishy.

I'd like to see some comparison photos of the Hasbro vs Takara BB when someone actually gets one in hand. If there are are any significant differences then I might consider picking it up on sale or clearance.

Well, I trusted you, still we can shout at the Hasbro for this price tag.

And most of the member here should already own a Takara MP Bumblebee, this thing will be hard to sell even at $70.

Personally I won't buy the Hasbro version even at $50, no need to have 2 Bumblees, since this version is not that great anway.

If/when a Hasbro bee shows up, all I want to know is if the exo suit is included. I'm happy with g2 bee, I want the exo suit to go with the 86 movie mps. ^^

It's gonna be real, and the sad part is they will sell him due to his popularity. I love my Tak BB, and if the price dropped enough I'd grab he hasblo so I could display it. The Mp bb is one of my favourites in my collection. I do hope for that price it includes something. The price is steep.... but lets not forget that YoTG Soundwave price of $250 or the Optimus Tanker

Here's the price breakdown:

Well, my original MP cost $42 US, which is $54 CAD (before shipping, to be fair). The Hasbro version is $120 CAD or $135.59 including tax.

Hasbro is charging roughly $82 more for theirs, or roughly twice as much as the original.

Man, I'd almost bet you could buy the Takara version online, pay for express shipping, get kicked in the nuts by the exchange rate plus buy internationally and get hit by all the customs fees and still pay less than at TRU.

How big is the box? I'm hoping it's the size of Starcream's, with the tiny scout-size figures drowning in two cubic feet of styrofoam.

The box was tiny, it was probably the size of those newer software boxes just a little thicker.

I'd say it's Hasbro who is smoking the crack and TRU has to take the second hand smoke. TRU will have to sell at a retail price to cover their purchasing cost form Hasbro.

While I normally don't participate in other retail threads, I have a very good source (those who know me know who I'm speaking of) that confirmed today that the price of Hasbro MP-08 Bumblebee is indeed $119.99 and is SKU# 819867. As far as they have seen, all sales between now and August are specifically excluding the MPs, but that could change.

In the meantime, come to TFCon and get the Takara one for less after tax! :p
