custom concept me & Malwave would like feedback on
 

Greetings everyone.

Starting off, i'm asking for feedback on a idea me and a buddy were bantering around, we had an interesting idea forming and i feel now is the time to ask the greater community what they think.

okay here's the concept.

While alot of us seem to adore the little kreon guys (I know i do), we all know there will be certain characters we are NOT likely to see any day soon.

so i struck on the idea, why not do custom kits like Maijin's Frenzy/Rumble but take it to the next level. Do Full on Microchanger kits, so we can turn the glutton of human figs into some of our favorite TF's & have both the char & alt mode.

Basically the plan was to start with one Fan Fav not being done yet by hasbro, and create all the parts needed to turn a minifig into them in full Kreo style.

Now we've not decided who to start with, but suggestions would be appriciated, and might even run a poll eventually as obviously the first kit's success would determine if we put the effort out to do more.

Also, not a bad idea. Not sure how practical it is though. I mean Hasbro are already doing a shit tonne of iconic fan favorites, who's to say when they will stop.

Hmm....well, some notable characters they have not done yet (and some they are unlikely to do):

- Top Spin and Twin Twist
- Jetfire
- Dinobots (surprised they haven't done them yet)
- Deluxe Insecticons
- Reflector
- Wreck-Gar/Junkions
- Allicon (from Transformers the Movie, the other Quintesson creatures)
- Nightbird

Cool idea. I'd stick to the really obscure like Nightbird or Erector.

If this line continues to take off for Hasbro they will get to every major character in short order. I'm thinking characters like the Dinobots and Jetfire will be along in no time.

now lego is getting on the kreo round up with transformable robots
that look more surprisingly transformable that kreo transformers.

DS: yeah. there's no saying when hasbro will call it quits, specially as long as sales keep going. and yes i grammered on the title. i was tired and it was late.

but far as were concerned. chances of hasbro doing every single char eventually, sure. but we know the choices for this year.

plus we had talked about a 'fix' kit for the forthcoming cheetor mini fig cuz honestly. ow.

Bruticus82: great suggestions. i can see why they might have avoided ones like wreak-gar. 2 wheelers are going to be a tough conversion in this form.

robimus: oh sure eventally they will, unless they stick to what they been doing and dont replicate any char released in a set. think, we know up to series 3 but there no prime or megatron or even bee. 3 key chars without microchangers. (hense my logic that they chose to only use non set chars for the MC subline)

well most likely when we get there we will showcase some graphics of the full design we arrive @ to see if there enough interest to warrant a run.

i think you guys should try more of the tail end bots from g1 like the pretenders,targetmasters,powermasters,etc.
it's pretty much guranteed that hasbro or takara will eventually do most if not all of the first season characters that are more well know or "top selling" charcters.

heck,you may even have more interest if you started making kits to turn them into japanese exclusive characters like a combining kreon liokaiser,a dinoking or even deathceazaurus.
i'd probably more than likely buy a kit to turn two kreons into a combining starsaber/victory leo set.
think outside the box and you may surprise yourself and others;):D
