Classics Display: stand-ins & replacements

Wondering what fellow members do with their Classics Display in regards to stand-ins and replacements.
There are a few characters from the line(s)that I want to wait for a better Hasbro release or replace with 3rd party.
For myself the following are characters that are current stand-ins or total replacements.

United Megatron- stand-in(dont like the wings)
Universe Ratchet- stand-in(horrible figure)
Universe Ironhide- stand-in(horrible figure)
Classics Voyager Optimus- undecided?(too short)
G1 Soundwave- stand-in(no tape deck versions)
Classics Bumblebee- stand-in(too big)
Classics Cliffjumper- stand-in(too big)

As of right now I have no replacements for any of my Classics.

Which classics Optimus are you referring too as your stand in? The 2pack one that came with Tank Megs, or the Voyager version? Cuz personally, the Voyager is a very good classics OP.

well i think for ironhide and ratchet, the igear versions are the best if you can afford them. i'm fine with my foc soundwave for the time being, but i don't think they'll be making a deluxe that can eject tapes anytime soon. i see some people using the music label soundwave but thats also a bit expensive. the classics voyager optimus is a good size compared to the other deluxes. bee and cliff, i think is this is as good as you're going to get since they just released an idw bee

Everything is pretty much a stand in depending who you ask. Lol.

I'm fine with Voyager Megs and OP. They scale well with each other I find. I wouldn't mind doing that mod that makes Meg's wings removable. For Soundwave I use the Music Label version, along with the reprolabels he makes a good classic stand in.

If there's anything now that needs updating, it's Octane and Astrotrain. They don't scale well now that all of the Triple changers are voyagers now.

yea forgot about astrotrain, but i hope they make a steam train though, not feeling the bullet train much. i think AM ironhide might fit in the classics line pretty good as well

Classics Voyager Optimus- undecided?(too short) [THE BEST NON-MP OP EVER!]
G1 Soundwave- stand-in(no tape deck versions) [G1 SW Superior]
Classics Bumblebee- stand-in(too big) [scale is a collector's dream...]
Classics Cliffjumper- stand-in(too big) [scale is a collector's dream...]

Here's a few ideas but keep in mind for some availability and affordability may be an issue:

TFW Hegemon for Megatron

Upcoming (but not sure if confirmed) TFW Optimus Prime

Upcoming (but again not sure when/if will be released) iGear BB & CJ but if they follow their current minibots they'll be about the same size as the Classics. Maybe the new Generations commander Cyberverse sized BB?

Cybertron Soundwave for said character

Rachet & Ironhide...the Botcon remoulds...very expensive.

And yeah, we definitely need voyager Astrotrain & Octane!
