Walmart Exclusive Generation 1 Hot Rod released in Canada

The reissue of the original vintage Generation 1 Hot Rod action figure has hit Canadian shelves. Spotted at a Walmart in British Columbia the retail price is $39.97. Thanks to Cybertron.ca member BigDoomWW for the report. Happy hunting G1 fans.

Picked him up on eBay. Got tired of looking at bare Walmart shelves where I only saw the price tag there. Scalpers win.

Tired of taking the bus to this, that and the other Wallie. All those fares add up to neutralize the scalper mark up. Saw the price tag on the empty shelf at one. |

Tags on the shelves doesn’t mean they arrived yet. Planograms are set ahead of time.
A guy from Kijiji told me he got his in Mississauga recently.

More than likely. Got Devie on eBay too. SS and minis I found at Wallie. Distribution in Ottawa/Gatineau sucks. Pretty bare without restock. Afterthought in the country. Billings Bridge Wallie had same shelf warmers for months with no restock. Bus fare saved covered the scalper mark up. |

In this case, the price tags were on the shelves in advance, the item had not arrived yet. |

The boxes I saw @ WM here today were semi-destroyed. Creased. Bent sides. I guess if they put them online and ship them poorly like the Minibots, then they won't even need to try to damage them in-transit.

Happy with the 100% marked up one I bought on eBay. Mint condition. No more wasted Ottawa bus trips only to arrive to see bare shelves for him and Devie. Found SS and the minis. I'm good. Moving on and waiting for the next wave with great anticipation. Stocking here blows chunks in every room of a house. Like a world lost in time and space. Easier to find the Holy Grail or dark matter.
