G1 Grimlock help!

Hey ya'll! i have searched far and low on the net, trying to find out how to fix my G1 Grimlock, and i just can't seem to find anything!
Like SO many G1 grimlocks out there, his T-rex mode's right arm is broken. i wanted to buy a cheap broken one, and gut it for just that arm.

However, i can't seem to be able to remove the "stub" that remains there. i have tried screwing it off, but it just doesn't budge, and i'm afraid if i put to much force i'll either strip the bolt, or break something else.

Has any one managed to resolve this similar problem?

I had the same issue, but the broken one came off without issue. Granted I had enough of the stub I could grip it from one side and screw from the other.

Re: G1 Grimlock help!

if you have a soldering iron, heat the screw from the back side.after a few seconds,it should "crack" the seal that it formed from 30 odd years of being there.luckily his crew is an easy to access area by not being stuck down a tiny/narrow channel/hole surrounded by plastic.
just make sure you're using the right sized phillips screwdriver because if you strip out the screw by using a too small phillips, your next resort is to knock the pin out of his dino spine which holds the two dino chest halves and swap out the dino chest halves completely.(by dino chest halves i mean the two big chunks his dino arms are mounted on and cover his bot mode head in dino mode)

hope that helps

wow! thanks so much for the help! i don't have a soldering iron, but i'll ask my friends if any have one. Plus i'll bring him to TFcon, maybe someone wouldn't mind giving me 2 minutes of their time/ equipment there.

Grab the stub with a lair of pliers and turn the screw from behind. Mine came off without issue. I didn't even need to hold the stub, the screw just came out.
