looking through the feedback.

Thank you for your business! Buyer: e***s ( 379Teal star icon for feedback score in between 100 to 499) During past 6 months

Why would a buyer thank the seller for their business?

I'm so tempted to give this a go, but at the same time it sucks when you tie up funds for a month to have to make a paypal claim

His MP-14 is a knockoff and he doesn't mention it anywhere. The gradient on the Transformers logo is upside down.

His listing:

Look at the seller's feedback and for what past auctions. When I click to see, I see he set his feedback private, sure sign it is a scam.

If it's too good to be true, then it probably is.

I remember reading somewhere--can't remember where--that even though eBay protects your purchases, the scam artist can still get their money if they work fast enough. And eBay ends up eating it, when they give you your money back.

That's why scammers keep trying these things. If people keep trying chase the impossibly good deal on eBay, sooner or later something will have to give. Because if I was eBay, I'd be pretty pissed at having to constantly eat the loss.

I would not pull the trigger on this. I don't even look at sellers from China anymore unless they have 500+ feedback over several years.

I went for one to see what will happen. Order from China all the time and have yet to be burned ( I know ... lucky). Will let you know. They claimed to ship it out a day later (no tracking which is common) and left positive feedback right away. I guess, worst case will make a paypal claim. Which always works. ;) Will know soon too, most items from China arrive faster than stuff I order from the States. So should know within 2 weeks.
