Thanks to Planet Iacon on Facebook, we’ve got a fresh rumor for you to discuss and it’s a good one! According to the post and member discussion so far, a possible Masterpiece Optimus Prime 3.0 could be incoming to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Transformers! We only have one design sketch to go off for now, which shows off the shoulder and ab/grill area of Optimus Prime. We are unsure of where the scan originated from, however some TFW2005 members point out this is from the Figure King magazine. I think it shows some actual mold changes.
I'd rather they put those resources into a character we don't have yet

^ Agreed. Enough with Optimus Prime already. I'd rather have the rest of the S1/2 characters first. If they really want to revisit characters that need upgrades, start with Grimlock and Rodimus Prime.

I'd like to see all 5 Dinobots first, even if they don't upgrade Grimlock.

I think the biggest hurdle to this is that the 3P market has a lot of VERY good options. Takara is a business after all and they are well aware of which figures are offered by 3P and how well they sell. Given how long the 3P varieties have been available, their quality and how well they sell I doubt we'll see an official MP dinobot offering anytime soon.

Looks like a design blue print for a more anime accurate proportion Convoy to match MP-36. Maybe he will wear a trunk instead of a brief.

the biggest issue i have every time they revise it, they change the scale, so you cannot mix and match the different versions! (this goes for all lines, not just the masterpiece line of figures). Deluxe Scale should scale with other Deluxe scales, etc!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
