It's decent, but not amazing or anything. It has a lot of cool characters, and new takes on old characters, and the Cullen/Welker combo is certainly a huge plus, but I find the storylines fairly uninspired and uninteresting. I'm somewhere in the middle of the last season and I haven't got around to watching the rest yet. I would love to see a TF show have the kind of characterization and stories we're seeing in the comics right now. But I guess that's why we have the comics, and the shows are largely for kids. :D

Has anyone seen any of the $5 TRU beast hunter deluxes floating around? I need at least 1 ratchet (preferably 2) also hoping to find an arcee and a knockout.

Thanks kindly

As of yesterday the Arcees and Knock Outs were cleaned out at Surrey, and unfortunately they restocked with the previous waves (Bulkhead, Smokescreen, Starscream, BB, Ripclaw, Lazerback).

Brentwood TRUX as of Saturday had Bulkhead, Starscream, Smokescreen, and Ripclaw if I remember correctly.

The last place I saw Ratchet was at Grandview Corners Walmart, but obviously it's not $5 there unless you can price match...

Never got into Prime. Considering how good everyone says it is I probably should. Having Cullen and Welker back should be reason enough to watch, but the few episodes I've watched usually results in me watching the G1 cartoon instead which then further results in yet another viewing of the '86 animated movie.

Prime was what dragged me back into Transformers again.

Though I must say, that due to the writing, Cullen doesn't shine in this series as he does other series. This might be why you go back to G1.

That being said, I still like Prime.

Transformers Prime had a lot of potential and there was many episodes where the story could have taken off in a bunch of really cool and interesting directions, but at the end of the episode or arc, it would always reset itself back to the status quo. It's still worth watching though.

For some reason, you make it sound like The Simpsons, which always resets itself :D

I really enjoyed Prime myself, most of the cartoon shows do somewhat of a reset after each episode. If you watch it enough, there were enough one liners to make it enjoyable, and I felt the stories weren't too bad.

Otherwise they would be killing off main characters every episode, and there would be non left. another reason they bought in the vehicons, so the show would have some fodder.

They did kill off a few characters aswell.

But remember guys/girls (as we have 2 now) this is a kids show.

Transformers Prime was probably one of my favorite TF shows since Beast Wars. I liked having Cullen and Welker back, and I thought the characters were great for the most part. It was a "kid's" show but it had a dark streak to it that I liked - the human kids were fairly unobtrusive, mostly, and I thought it had a great Megatron - felt like he was the nasty/evil Megatron that was missing for the last few series (as much as I liked Beast Wars, the Megatron there was less evil and more comic relief).

The next series is supposed to continue on from the end of Prime, but "accessible" to younger kids, so I guess it's probably going to lose its dark streak...I'll reserve judgement until I see it though.

That's why I tend to watch the '86 movie more than the Bayverse trilogy and the G1 series for that matter.

'Cos nothing says badass more than the word "shit" and the killing of many a beloved character.

Except for the easy killing of the mighty Brawn. That was, and ever shall be, wacked out for me.

I've really been enjoying the Kabaya kits...next one is Overlord and Road Caesar. It even has little Brainmasters...
