Cyclonus Metallic 'Stealth' bust TFcon 2006 exclusive question

I understand it was an exclusive at TFcon 2006, but on the box it has a sticker saying it was an exclusive to 'Comic City Con' and then it has a website underneath (comiccitytn.com).

Was there another convention called 'Comic City' this bust was an exclusive for besides TFcon 2006 in Toronto?

I actually emailed Hard Heroes (the company who produced this bust) a couple years ago and asked this same question. Surprisingly, this is what they responded back with:

We never produced an item for the TFcon in Toronto. The 100 pieces were an exclusive for Comic City, who also does cons. Not sure what's going on there.
Thanks,
Hard Hero

I found a business called Comic City in Detroit and emailed them, but no response. I checked out comiccitytn.com and nothing pointed to it having an exclusive or ties to TFcon back in 2006.

Anybody have any info on this? I know it was advertised as a TFcon exclusive and even tfwiki has it as such, but the 'Comic City Con' sticker on the box, in addition to Hard Heroes' response, throws everything off.

Thanks.

1. There was no TFcon 2006, it was called TransformersCon back then. Did you ask Hard Hero about that?

2. There was a Comic City Con in Nashville. This lady has pictures of being there in 2009. http://www.samanthanewark.com/meeting-the-jem-fans

This link might be relevant to you:

http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-...nus-bust-4500/

Excerpt of text: "Exclusive Hard Hero "Stealth" Cyclonus Bust has been revealed. This bust is limited to 100 pieces and was the last Transformers bust produced by Hard Hero. TransformersCon was able to track down this previously unreleased item so both attendees and non-attendees could complete their collection."

My guess is that TransformersCon somehow acquired the busts from the above mentioned Comic City.

I guess if it was acquired from Comic City, then it wouldn't have technically been a Transformers con exclusive. Maybe a '2nd-hand' exclusive, for lack of a better term.

Anyone know how many were brought in by Transformers Con in 2006 to sell, and how many were eventually sold?

Maybe the organizer of the Transformer Con back in 2006 can shed some light on all this.

2) Colin is The TFCon organizer. He wrote that excerpt.

The bust was made for Cyber City Con but were not ready in time for the convention. Cyber City contacted TFcon and asked if TFcon would like to make them available there since they had already been produced.
