I was not here in the 80's but if I recall correctly when I arrived in Canada when G2 was in full force G2 Starscream was under $20.

I don't know if I will get this Starscream because I already have a couple of reissues (e-hobby and Encore). The original looking packaging does look nice for display, though.

Went to Walmart today with UPC code. They said they had it in the back, but refused to check for me.

He was around the $15-$19 mark back then (same for all seekers and cone heads). Today that would be around $30. That made the platinum conehead 3 pack cheaper now than it was back then (once adjusted for inflation). But it does make this particular Starscream release far more expensive than it should be.

I have the mold but not all the accessories. Especially not that megatron gun.

If somebody does decide to buy this version, can somebody confirm that Hasbro made it completely out of plastic, no die cast parts at all?

Now that blog was truly kickin’ it old school. Fun read & I do miss the toys section of the Consumers Distributing catalogue. For many of us as kids, must have spent hours & hours looking through it, no Cybertron.ca or TFW2005.com back than posting high res images.

For anyone that views that blog or any others that would have these old catalogues, don’t look at the pricing, too funny and painful at once.

predahank, that package you have kept in excellent condition!

The question remains if Starscream will sell out quick like the Minibots are keep the shelves warm.
