Guber and TFCon2016
Hey guys,
Starting this thread to get some suggestions, recommendations, and whatnot, as Guber had reached out to me recently to see if anyone had any ideas. I know many of you are friends with Guber, so here's hoping there are some options out there.
So as many of you know, Guber has been travelling the world the last few years. Which puts him in a slight bind this year for TFCon.
The situation:
Guber's in BC right now. He has a job lined up for the summer, starting just a little before TFCon this year. Unfortunately, he's already asked ahead of time, and the employer is not willing to give him the days off to travel to TFCon.
Guber's initial thoughts:
1) If someone can help him to find something (job-wise) closer to the east side (Ontario/Quebec), then he wouldn't need to take the job in BC, and can be much closer for TFCon;
2) On the flipside, if someone can help with, or know of a way, to get last-minute plane tickets for a lower cost; he would take the job in BC, and hope that, after he's been on the job, his employers can relate to him on a more personal level and allow him to fly out to TFCon for just the weekend.
He's aware that both of his initial thought paths are much of long-shots, but he's definitely open to suggestions and ideas.
