Toys For Tots Drive @ Canadian Action Figure Expo this Sunday
 

Action Figure Expo will be collecting new toys at the show this Sunday to help underprivileged children during the holidays. As toy collectors we all remember the joy of receiving new toys at Christmas and want to ensure as many kids as possible get to experience the same feeling. If you are attending the event please bring an unopened/unwrapped toy to support those less fortunate this Holiday season. Bring an unopened toy and get into the dealer room 15 minutes earlier than your ticket time.

The 8th Annual Canadian Action Figure Expo October 30th, 2011 at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel - Toronto Airport 655 Dixon Road, Toronto, Ontario.

We can confirm many of the same dealers from TFcon will be at this event. The show features a huge selection of vintage 80s toys and all the latest releases from today such as Transformers (vintage and Japanese imports), Super Heroes (Marvel, DC etc), Star Wars (new and vintage), GIJoe (vintage and modern), Wrestling, Masters of the Universe and tons of other Action Figures and collectibles. Plus if I'm reading this correctly, it doesn't need to be a transformers toy, meaning that we should be able to pick up something cool on sale/at a good price without running around the entire city.

Not like picking up a 10 dollar deluxe at Wal-Mart (or an 8 dollar one at London Drugs if it applies to your area) would be bad, but star wars & super hero stuff looks like it's fair game as well, the latter of which tends to hold up even better in the hands of younger kids. I know they did for me.

This would be a perfect way to re-purpose my extra movie toys I never opened. My daughter is uninterested and my son is too young for them. I just don't know if I'm going to make it to the show, for sure, now.

could someone tell me why the montreal toycon wasn't announced here??? Why it is always toronto?? Canada is more than one state!

That is correct. It can be any new toy. Boy or Girl.

It can be for younger kids or older ones. DVD's or video games are always good donations for older kids.

This is a great way to clear out some space if you may happen to have some unopened items around that you no longer wish to keep in your collection.

I'll say this-- I went to TF Con and it got me back into collecting. Such a good show. If there's as good a selection of 3rd party stuff and imports, I'm going to be a VERY happy camper.

And awesome place for a toy drive too!!
