the Mikaela figure isn't so hot looking, unlike in the movie...but then again, none of the human figures looks good

Re: Human Alliance Skids Sighted in Canadian Retail
Looks nice, but what's the point in getting these HA figures if you already have the deluxe versions.
Somehow, these HAs are starting to get my attention...

Clogging shelfs at TRU in my city.
Last 5 times I've been in a TRU they have had at least 3-10 Sideswipe's.
Also, unlike Sideswipe, I am looking forward to this one! I just don't like the #$%^ door wings! Skids doesn't have door wings! :(

Awesome. I have absolutely 0 interest in the new movie line except these HA ones. Really looking forward to picking this one up! HA BB is one of my favorite TF toys ever, but this one looks even better!

Re: Human Alliance Skids Sighted in Canadian Retail
Well, TRUs should have more of any HA they have in stock since they're selling them for the astonishingly high price of $50 ($40 at WM, also too high).
So how is Skids? Since he's not even 'human alliance' size and the Arcee he comes with is pretty much fodder, he'll have to be pretty damn good for me to pick him up at $40...

Well i was lucky enough to see my buddies, got it from ebay, a few weeks ago and he's actually a very well tuned figure. Just a tad taller than his deluxe counterpart. Hardly any kibble. And i kinda like just having Mikaela posed riding Arcee.
My opinion, im happy with the deluxe version of Skids. But ur gonna get into the HA line he is a must get. Maybe even over HA Sideswipe.

Re: Human Alliance Skids Sighted in Canadian Retail
I find HA Skids less frustrating to transform and overall more solid than his DLX counterpart. Plus, he has fun gimmicks. I love the thick and glossy plastic they're using on HA figures.

Re: Human Alliance Skids Sighted in Canadian Retail
Can someone get me a measurement of the HA Skids as well as the deluxe version? Like, the overall length as well as the wheelbase measurement. If, you know, you're not like busy or whatever.
Thanks, chums.

Ok, he's better than the dlx, but is he 3x better (3x the price)?
I totally agree on the plastic quality for the HAs. I only have BB but one of the main things that struck me when I got my hands on him was the amazing plastic quality/durability, which for mainline figures has been going steadily downhill over the past few years.

I'm going to wait for Muflap because of just how beautifully accurate that toy seems to be, but man, this is tempting.

Re: Human Alliance Skids Sighted in Canadian Retail
I have no clue why I got Deluxe Skids in the first place. But Deluxe Skids is better and I don't have to pay x4 the price. Out of the whole set, I want the Arcee.
HA Mudflap, come here. One of the best .

Re: Human Alliance Skids Sighted in Canadian Retail
A decent looking figure no doubt, but at his size I just can't see paying our Canadian Crazy Pricing for him. The Arcee is just crap - looks worse than Universe Hot Shot's minicon Jolt. With Skids only a shade bigger than his deluxe, which is a pretty tiny figure to start with, I seriously can't drop that kind of cash. Maybe come the holidays if one of the stores has a crazy great sale, but not at retail.
Great to see he's hitting though. Happy hunting to anyone looking for him!

I think I will pick him up. The more pics I look at, the more I realize that the purchase will probably happen. I might try a few Wal-Marts after work today and see if I can find it.
Any idea if there are any more left at the WM in Square One?

Kinda size accurate, the Twins are 10ft tall and Bumblebee is 18ft

Re: Human Alliance Skids Sighted in Canadian Retail
Also, about door wings... If you want the doors to work in car mode, I think door wings are almost unavoidable in robot mode. Look at the Binaltech and Alternity figures. They pretty much all have door wings or doors hanging off the shoulders or arms in some way.

Ugly ass face aside, he's actually a good figure all around. His weapons are less intrusive than BB's and the seats, though on his arms, are better designed to also not be intrusive. His ugly head really is his only fault. The toy is actually pretty good. I can't compare with the deluxe because I refuse to buy the twins but this HA one is nice.
