Cybertron.ca has received word that limited quantities of the KRE-O Transformers toy sets are on their way to Toys R Us stores across Canada.

UPDATE: This is just the initial shipment to TRU. We have received word that ALL KRE-O Transformers items are coming to Toys R Us in the next 2 weeks. No need to worry!

Kreons are the mini-figures. And the KRE-O basic price point is the only one that doesn't have any Kreons in it. It's just a small BB and Prime.

And to be clear there is no way to get a Kreon without buying a KRE-O set.

Why the hell are we getting limited release on these? I'm unhealthily psyched about these sets, and they're gonna be a controlled substance? Uncool, man. I think I'm extra cranky 'cause I spent all that time on that silly Build-a-bot game [for the free Kreon] only to have them not tell me it apparently won't work for Canada.

Agh!! Well, I want two of those four being released [mini-Bee and Jazz], but how am I expected to nab the other four I want [Megatron, Sentinel, Prowl, and Mirage]?

Looks like these are not apart of the sale, they do look pretty good though. An employee told me that they were the first to get them.

I have a couple of these and they are a lot of fun. I too wish they sold the mini Kre-o figures separately, even blind packed would be great.

^ Well, thats good news! I am not interested in the Kre-O Transformers at all, so I won't be getting them, but thats great news for the people who are interested.

Really, I am only interested in the Kreons. I would buy them if you could get those seperately. C'mon Hasbro, join in on the Mini-figure random pack game! Lego holds strong with theirs, and now Doctor Who is getting in the game (I have a bunch on pre-order :D)

Well the Kreons sure look cute but the Kre-o figures themselves aren't too bad.

Remember if we want to see more Kreons, then the Kre-o line must be successful and hence we'll need to buy the sets for the line to be successful.

Kre-O is in St. Catharines. Prime, Jazz, L'ill Bee and big Bee. The 25% off sale does not apply though!

Bought the little Optimus Prime, just finished putting it together. Not bad overall, not quite lego grade but easily on par with mega blocks. My only complaint is that Optimus Primes head is molded out of soft plastic and it doesn't look the greatest.

Kreons, I really would love to have them. However, they look so Cheap. I'll end up buying the sets and selling of the building sets. Keep the minifigs.

How bit are the Basic figures in robot mode? Are they comparable to a TF Basic/Scout figure?

If so, has anyone tried putting KRE-O Basic Bumblebee's head on Animated Activator Bumblebee's body? I always wanted to convert that guy into his G1 self.

Pickering TRU had them yesterday (Friday) morning, an employee was just carting the boxes of them out when I was there, grabbed a Jazz for my bro.

Not sure about the head but the basic kreo optimus prime towers over his legends counterpart. The head is roughly deluxe sized, actually overall I'd say they seem to be deluxe sized.

Yeah I noticed that, still not a bad price even without the discount.

Picked up Jazz, the Kreon is nice but the Kreo bot mode sucks. Needs a lot more articulation and his arms are lacking girth. It would have been nice if they gave him hands. Also his door wings are minuscule. The shiny grey pieces have lots of swirls, looks fragile but feels sturdy. Compared to Megablocks, feels nicer and the Quality seems higher. The Kreo Jazz head is nice as are the tires. I'm sure nicer incarnation can be made with some patience and Lego.

Just to let you know the heads are made of a soft plastic similar to the soft plastic hasbro uses for their regular transformers.
