New 3rd party Add-On Kits. Where did you go ???
 

I have been into upgrading my figures and I miss the day of the upgrade kits that many figures nowadays need as Hasbro or TT did not fulfill my desires with the currently released figures but I still really enjoy said figure.

I have created this thread to help other like me be informed of the new an up coming 3rd party add-ons like this one I found for CW Optimus that apparently makes him leader sized :raisetheroof:

People thought Beelzeboss ripped off the original creator of that upgrade set. This is his mass market version. I can't say what Beelzeboss did, but it's pretty damn close. I'm assuming other sites will get this kit later on.

First person I'd check with for any upgrade kits is Slayback, of course. Prices in CAD. Otherwise Id go to chimungmung too, he's in USD but he ships really quickly (got my last shipment in 3 business days, and that's from China) and you don't get dinged for customs.

Eh... it replaces the entire front chest and comes with a new head. The shapeways one just comes with a clip on chest that doesn't even stay on during transformation.

So almost a full year later...

The SND kit is out and I picked it up.

I have never modded a figure to this extent before, so it was quite an experience. Knocking out pins was surprisingly easy. I personally had some fun with it, and there was some frustrating parts too (trying to hammer a pin back in was stupid, luckily I didn't break anything before I realized I could just use pliers and make it much easier) but it was so worth it in the end. Love the way Prime looks now in both Robot and Truck mode.

I'd definitely recommend this kit. The instructions aren't the best, so if you're doing this build I'd recommend watching Emgo's build video and Benscollectables as well. Definitely helped out.
