TFcon 2014 Charity Custom - Siren

2 Attachment(s)
Still need to get the G1 Reprolabels and do some touchups here and there, but here's Siren!

The body's Krylon fusion, with a mix of Testors/Tamiya for the detailing. Unfortunately the stripes on the car are only so-so as the Testors was far less consistent in how it went on (thus my switching for Tamiya for the rest of the red in botmode/on the head).

Head's the stock Hot Shot/Excellion head with some cutting and putty.

looks sweet.like you said though, just needs a bit of touch ups and call it a day.
small tip,if you want to eliminate the way the red bleeds through(shows the underneath color)simply prime the area with red primer before you hit it with the actual red topcoat.)
tamiya "flat red" xf-1 is good for this and it's thin enough where you don't have a thick layer yet stops the bleed through.

The head looks really cool :)

It always seems hardest to get the lines right on a car mode for a custom. One the Krylon(white in this case) has dried for a week what I've often done to get the straightest lines I can is simply mask the area wanted as the base color with scotch tape before the brush work. I've had some success with that, though at times a stubborn custom hasn't cooperated as well :p

I really like how the white came out. Nice job.

Yeah; I've got some Tamiya red now and I can believe it - I used "flat red" on the robot mode legs and it turned out FAR better.
