Places you paint your Repaint

Hey guys, winter is almost here and I usually do my repaints outside. Anyone have any good places or ideas where to do repaints? Im living in an apartment and I dont have access to a garage :(

Thanks

I live in an apartment as well, I just make sure I open the windows. I am planning on building a spray booth when I get an airbrush though.

Or do what I do and do it in an unventilated basement and let the good times roll....any brain cells that get destroyed were too weak anyways.

lolz!!!not too many brain cells left on this end either:Dthe sad part is that i've done that before in my downstairs washroom.(with a broken exhaust fan)i ended up cleaning overspray off the shower door glass for about a week after that.never again....:o:D
but when winter hits,i'm usually still always good to go as i hand paint about 90-95% of the projects i do,and only have to spray the clearcoat.for that ,if it's too cold,i'll quickly spray the clearcoat outside, then do the mad dash downstairs with what ever i sprayed before the ol mother in law smells it and starts complaining.:(

^lol that mother in law ruins everything huh?

Ya I pretty much hand paint everything as well so this ain't really an issue for me...the poor ventilation is obvious mostly when large amounts of dremeling...melty plastic makey room spinny

Yeah, I close down the customs for the winter because of this as well. Though the couple projects I have on the go I'll still work on a little.

No no no no no no no no no no.
Do not spray inside unless you actually have a legit. painting booth set up.
Your best bet is to spray out a window & bring in the parts immediately to a warm & dry room.
Or do what I do, plan all your projects ahead of time & do all the grunt work in the winter & get everything ready to mass spray when the weather allows.

Does this count as legit ???

It's the solarium in my apt. I paint in there all year around.
i just open the window in the winter & run a fan. Plus I wait for "warmer" days.

I have an airbrush and spraybooth, so I'm normally good to go all year round.
I don't normally use spraycans indoors, though; the fumes from the propellant still linger despite the spraybooth.
