CollectorFest is Calgary’s newest pop and geek culture event taking place October 22, 2016 at the Chinese Cultural Centre

This is the first year we are exhibiting in Calgary with our one day event specializing in all things pop culture! Toys, Video Games, Movies, Collectibles, this show has something for everyone! There will be a variety of Vendors, Artists, workshops and special events available for you to check out!
Some of the planned highlights for this year include:

The CollectorFest Pop Culture Market
A variety of vendors to help you get your collection in full swing! Everything from new and vintage toys, designer items and collectibles, fan art, video games and so much more! CollectorFest will be your one stop shop for that special collectible you’ve been looking for.

The CollectorFest Trading Post
Do you have extra collectibles you want to sell? Looking for a great deal on some second hand merchandise? Perhaps you’re looking to trade things you’re no longer interested in for more relevant collectibles? If you said yes to any of these questions than the CollectorFest Trading Post is for you! We offer low cost table space for collectors to sell their wares or trade with fellow geeks. Come on in and take a look at what’s being offered

CollectorFest exclusive toy and collectible workshops
Have you ever wanted to learn how to build or paint your own custom toys and action figures? How about learning to make buttons and other wearable items to show off your love for your favorite TV show or comic book? We’ve got you covered! Come see our expert crafters and learn how to put your own personal twist on your collection! There are workshops available for all ages and skill levels

Transformers The Movie 30th anniversary celebration
Join us for a special viewing of the 1986 classic: Transformers the Movie! Come celebrate the 30th anniversary of this animated classic in style! We will be playing the film on a 20ft screen and offering Transformers themed prizes for anyone in attendance

I think there will be at least 9 board members at the show with tables. A variety of new and G1 stuff

TFtoys and drooling Over Toys will be there as vendors

I'll be running a table for my photography as well as selling some of my personal collection and some odds and ends. Hoping to see lots of boardies show up!

Is there anyone with a trading post table in the afternoon able/want to share their space? I got late notice today that I won't have to work this Saturday so I'm able to attend now but then got word the trading tables post tables have been sold out.

I am bringing some good stuff, WFC/FOC, CHUG, Movies, 3rd Party, Alternity, Marvel, Loot crate items and a Master Chief head.

Hope to see some new people and some regulars!

BTW I sold Generations Darkmount along with a sealed Skullgrin to someone local but forgot who. I found Darkmount's instructions. Let me know if you see me at the show, I'll bring it.

I'm so stoked for this. I live in the neighborhood. I've never seen TFTM on a large screen.

How's the feedback from everyone? Any thoughts as to running it again? The movie was hard to see but that was down to projector quality and bright lights in the gym.
