ROTF Soundwave

5 Attachment(s)
I did this up probably about a month ago. It's probably my best work so far.

Let's see... I used:
Chrome
Gold Metallic Flake
Blue Metallic Flake
Red Metallic Flake
Gold
and Flat Black

I also figured out and duplicated Jin's hip mod for the guy, so he stands about half an inch taller. Then I cut a bit off his wings to give him a bit more show-accuracy and a bit less random-panels-all-over-his-back.

Wow, dak showed me this on TFW yesterday.

Looks really good. I like how he's not only taller but you make the front left and right panels more accurate. I was thinking about doing something like this myself with a second Soundwave and replacing the nontransparent "orbs" with proper ones and give it the second robot head in satellite mode with the head extension.

Do you mean the red 'orbs' on the shoulder panels? Yeah, those bugged me too. That's why I tried to simulate the translucent plastic with the blue, although that called for painting all the translucent parts the same way so it didn't look entirely out of place.

And out of curiosity, what do you mean by 'the head extension'?

That "conehead" part :P I dunno what to call it....for the red orbs I would have taken the ones next to it from the second one and sized them smaller to fit in and taken one of the front panel orbs to flatten cover the center one.

Oh, you mean like FrogDNA's Soundwave. I gotcha now.

That's actually not a bad idea, though I think I'm content with balljointing the current alt mode head. This one doesn't have it, but my Soundblaster should.

And thanks a lot for the compliment.
