Oversized Bruticus Custom parts?

I have several Oversized KO Bruticus figures. I have the G1 Style Onslaught. He's great. He comes with all the combiner parts. The prob is that I have the limbs for the G2 Oversized KO. They won't fit into onslaught. I just picked up a few G2/Ruination colored KO Oversized combaticons. I have the Onslaught. (He looks great, but not the best quality). These figures didn't come with any combiner parts. I know nothing about doing molds. I have picked up a few amazing custom pieces over the years. I"m wondering if anyone does customs parts, or know of anyone that does? I was thinking perhaps the G1 KO Bruticus parts could be used as a base for custom parts. Sorry if this is in the wrong section. haven't posted many things here.

thanks in advance for any help or advice.

Re: Oversized Bruticus Custom parts?

I know echotransformer and chroma23 here on the boards have both designed parts to be printed on shapeways for various other projects:

If you don't get any responses to this thread, maybe try shooting either of them a message.

Although I would suspect that because not a lot of people out there are going to have these same figures, it's kind of going to be a "one off" thing for them as opposed to something that will help many fans, and there might be a higher cost associated with that for their time.

Re: Oversized Bruticus Custom parts?

hi, someone just mentioned my name lol

like bruticus82 said, your toy is an odd one, as in its not a general release product. unfortunately its really hard for us or anyone to design parts without the actual toy in possession to test it out. even if we do happen to have the KO, with the shady QC in KO products its hard to guarantee that parts designed for my KO will work on your KO.

in your case, like bruticus82 said, it would be a one-off thing, and you would have to lend the toy to the creator for months (or for the duration of the project). im sure there are other customizers who may be interested in making the parts for you - as a commission. they can order some of the big size generic articulated hands from shapeways and figure out a way to attach to your limbs somehow.

but sorry i do not do commissions; i like to work at my own pace and unfortunately i cant paint for poop lol

Hmm, by your description maybe you only need a few adapters? Can you post some pictures showing the fit problems, maybe the solution is simple...

Are you planning to paint it?
