Devastator - MakeToys or TFC?
 

I'm thinking about ordering one of these now. Cost aside, which one is the better toy?

I think it depends on what you want out of it.

I got the MakeToys one in the boxset. I like how the individual guys are slimmer and how the Giant comes out.

Some people like the heft and playablity of the individual guys from TFC Hurcules.

There are a lot of good reviews out there that can elaborate these points better.

Personally, I prefer the Maketoys. The level of detail and straight out of the box performance i.e., doesn't fall apart won me. Also, it is substantially less expensive. If you are leaning to Maketoys Green Giant, you may wish to look at Action Robo, http://www.actionrobo.com/index/inde...&product_id=56

I think that is the best price going.

I have the TFC version and absolutely love it. It's massive and the version I have holds up really well. It's pretty heavy so be warned that posing it can be a challenge.

I love my MakeToys Green Giant. He's smaller than Hercules, but the colors seem more G1 accurate to me as does his look. He also costs quite a bit less. He scales well with my CHUG figures. If you collect MP figures, TFC Hercules may look better with them than Giant.

I have them both. Maketoys Giant is better build quality but TFC herc scales slightly bigger. No matter what I am happy choosing either or.

I have the same issue as I want to start with the combiners. Particularly Predaking and Devastator.

I have the Maketoys Giant. I chose it because, to me, it captures the essence of G1 devy better. I also like the design more. The individual bots just have a little something extra to their look that TFCs don't. It's hard to put my finger on. Plus I really don't like TFCs head design.
