Can someone explain to me the RTS Solar Storm Grappel wave assortment.

Why is it that Grappel sells out faster than Lugnut?

Usually the new molds are harder to find and the repaint/retools. How does the assortment break down into.

I still have yet to find a Grappel in the stores?

I believe more people are interested in Grapple than Lugnut. I've seen 3 Grapples in my local TRU and 5 Lugnuts.

Grapple is the only one who's fully a g1 autobot out of the lot of three, strafe and Lugnut being the other two.

Strafe is using a movie mold (mindwipe) and Lugnut is originally an animated character.

Alot of collectors are big G1-ers and grapple being part of the original autobots, he becomes quite nostalgic and quite neccesary to any classic collection. Not to mention, the mold is fantastic. I personally think it's the best classic mold alongside the Optimus/Convoy mold.

Hope that helps!

They also changed the forearms , the hands and the feet aswell. He is a great figure and I totally recommend getting him if you can.

Per case:

2x Lugnut
1x Solar Storm Grapple
1x Strafe

As for changes to the figure...new head, new arms (shoulders, forearms, and hands), additional crane, new feet. In conclusion, he feels like a totally new toy compared to Inferno.

New but inferior imo... No more weapon, no more wrist rotation, arm panels don't rotate out of the way anymore... He does look good though.

Remember too that many people, especially in Canada, never got Inferno. He was on the shelves in extremely limited quantities if at ALL. I had to get mine from Entertainment Earth. So Grapple is the first time many fans have a real shot at this mold and I bet people don't want to risk missing it entirely (even though it's likely Grapple will be much easier to find in the long run).

The retooling is impressive; entirely new forearms/hands, new feet, new head, new weapon. And it is a fun mold! Lugnut is also super-fun but he doesn't carry that immediate 'name recognition' any G1 cartoon toy does.

Beyond that clearance sale out east, did Inferno make it out anywhere else? I don't recall any retail sightings out this way.
