ROTF Leader Prime + Jetwing?
 

Hello. I'm a bit confused by all the different versions of the ROTF Leader Prime mold. I have the original, but I'm interested in getting the DOTM Jetwing wingpack and guns for him. Will they work with that version of the mold? Thanks.

No, I don't think it will work. Remember seeing a post long time ago that jetting is only for dotm OP.

They should. As far as I know there was only slight remolding

No, it won't work on a North American version of Optimus. Jetwing Optimus uses the Japanese "Buster" Optimus as its base. That version has convertable gas tanks that turn into a gun, and the removal of those tanks are part of Jetwing's transformation. The tanks are not molded to be removed on the standard NA release, so the wings will NOT fit. Trust a fellow who's owned 7 different versions of the mold.

However, the 3rd party UFO Jetwing kit works acceptably on ROTF Prime, I have one setup so on my shelves. Takes a certain way of fitting it and it's not 100% perfect fit, but it works.
