POTP impressions
 

After playing with the ones I got yesterday and today, I'm half happy, half disappointed. Quality seems questionable, a few QC issues (like Swoop's beak and head dropping down in dino mode), a few questionable design choices like Grimlock's tail or super short dino toes, Slash' too short cockpit (unless you bend the figure backwards at the knees... OUCH!), Slag's lack of traditionnal "wings" in dino mode, Starscream's awful stickers (thinking about removing them). The boots-as-weapons look kinda silly on the Voyagers. I'd say, really cool concepts, cool enough toys (can't wait to complete Volcanicus), so-so execution?

I noticed the grey piece on slag chest there is a a 1 or 2. Based on a couple figures I picked up. Don’t notice any difference though

I'm only getting the dinobots and the terrorcons, and that will only be on sale prices... I think they could have done a better job by looking at reviews...

- the fists as belly armor are atrocious.
- Pretender shells are pretty stupid for this generation (it was ok in the 80's as kids will by anything on cartoons, but these don't have a current cartoon associated with it)
- the headmaster/engine thing doesn't integrate with the weapons/armor/prime very well (it juts out like a sore thumb)
- design wise, the altmode and/or the character has odd proportions (for most bots)
- kibbletastic leader class figures.

I will probably only get some legends class figures and the weaponmastershellformers things. skip the rest and save my money for the next series (or pick up my missing titans return figures)

I picked up Swoop and Slash in the States a few weeks ago. I think they should have made more weapons missiles, guns and swords. The Dinobots should all have come with swords. I would have liked some chrome paint on them too. The best figure so far is POTP Beachcomber.

Only picked up dreadwind and beachcomber but I'll open them next year

I ended up removing most of the stickers on Starscream. Looks cleaner and better that way.

I still don't know why they use stickers instead of that "tampograph" method... and if they use stickers why not better quality ones sheesh.
