The first time I saw it, I thought it was a mistake.

And then it actually just says Memberships are 50% off. You save $7.50. No sale on any actual store product. :)

Was going to bring a lawn chair and lineup outside EB Games like they do on new iPhone day.

platinum meberships are only good for one year arent't they? then you have to pay to renew?

Yeah 1 year unless you accumulate enough points during that year from trades and/or purchases to either: stay at platinum with 3000 points or move up to Onyx for 6000 points.
