They’re generally quite good. Been around for years and quite reliable. Some people have had very slow customer service lately, though.

TLDR: if it’s an item you can’t find elsewhere, go for it. If it’s readily available at more common sites, stick with them.

I was planning to buy some older 3rd party kits/figs from em year or so ago, but we were right in the worst part of pandemic and wasn't exactly well off, so I never actually did it

Had a lot of emails asking questions with the guy though, and he was pretty good at responding

Always felt bad about not following through, for how helpful he was

Their shipping is really expensive compared to other retailers in China.

What specifically are you looking for? I can definitely recommend some good stores.

That Newage Coneheads set is freaking hard to find at a reasonable price. The sites that had it at a fair price are sold out now (since it's an older set). The Robotoybase price isn't bad, but with shipping it came up to $147 USD. Totally depends how much you're willing to spend (or how bad you want it). Sorry I couldn't find anything for this one

Robotoybase is totally legit. Good prices but shipping is high, so be prepared to pay a bit extra, or order multiple things to lessen the blow.

I used to make purchased from Tony @ chimungmung, but now the chimungmung website notes to visit robotoybase. I have purchased from both chimungmung and robotoybase and would not hesitate to recommend them.

What's the risk of being hit with import from these guys? I've been eyeing some of the Ocular Max Combaticons and the free shipping to Canada seems almost too good to be true.

I never saw import taxes from them, however, since the pandemic, every package I have had import taxes slapped on regardless if it's from the US, Japan or China (unless it's a small item).

My experience with Chimungmung/robobase has also been good. I found their shipping to be ok, high but not as high as Robotkingdom.

Just placed an order w Tony this past weekend

He mentioned HongKong has suspended airmail to all of NA & Australia, so looks like this might take a while

I'm gonna stick it out though, everyone seems to like/trust this guy
