TFCON - Customs contest?

Hey all,

Just wondering what the specifics are on the customs contest at TFCON this year.

How many entries can one person submit? Got a few that I'm considering, but I'm finding it hard to choose! If I can enter them all, then I totally will. :)

Do we have to remain with our entries during judging?

Once they are judged, do they remain on display, or do we take them with us?

If we do leave them there, I assume that there is security to ensure that nobody messes with them, right?

Thanks!

Here are the details: http://www.tfcon.ca/art-custom-and-c...st-information

There is always security at the custom tables, yes.

Not sure if it says on the site, but yeah, as it was mentioned there's always some staff keeping an eye on all the pieces. You also have to sign in and sign out on this entry sheet thing to also help ensure that it's the artist who picks the piece back up.

Re: TFCON - Customs contest?

Hey guys, one last question on the customs contest, as it isn't really clearly spelled out in the details on the TFCON website, but what exactly constitutes a 'diorama'?

I know what they are according to my daughters grade school teacher, but how strict are the guidelines on this contest?

Do they need to be in some kind of scenery/background setup, or can it simply be two (or more) figures action-posed together and judged as one piece?

Thanks!

I'm not in charge, but here are my two cents:

The 3d context you can enter anything that is three dimensional that you made, or modified in some way. Past entries have included repainted figures, plush toy creations, wire-art non-transforming statues, etc.

Diorama is probably a loose term. Then again, you can also enter your figures separately if you want (limit of 2 entries per person).
