Re: earthquake

You know, I read an article online two weeks ago where some astrologist was pushing fourth a theory that the moon would have a powerful effect towards Earthquakes and natural disasters this week, as it's closer to Earth than it's been in 20 years and the full moon and the Equinox is coming up. I remember it because a bunch of scientists were all poo-poo'in her because "astrology isn't a real science".

Bet all those a-holes are on vacation this week.

Re: earthquake

Skeptic. Swine Flu Epidemic = bullsh*t. Earthquakes caused by Supermoon = what then, coincidence? This is the second time this decade that there has been a major Earthquake just a few days before the "supermoon", the last hitting Sri Lanka in 2004 with the moon reaching it's closest two weeks later. This year, it's a difference of 7 days. Just because the moon isn't directly at it's closest doesn't mean that the planet can't feel the change in pressure and gravitational pull.

Of course, it also doesn't mean that just because the moon is doing anything that an earthquake will occur. There have been plenty of Supermoons with nothing disasterous happening before or after. Still, unless you happen to speak directly with the Earth, then you have no clue what might or might not set her off.
