TFcon needs volunteers!

The TFcon staff works hard year round promoting the convention, so it’s never too early to express interest. The most common task is dropping flyers off at local comic/toy/hobby stores.

At the convention, people are needed to help do things such as checking wristbands for entry into the dealer room/panels, guarding the art table, and other duties as required.

Requirements:
Minimum age of 18 (or close to it).
Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours at the convention.
Ability to follow instructions from TFcon staff members.

Please note: volunteers must adhere to any staff rules and maintain professionalism and courtesy when dealing with other members and attendees. Also, working the 8 hours means that you may have to miss out on certain panels/events you may want to attend throughout the weekend depending on scheduling.

Benefits:
Your admission to the convention will be reimbursed! (At the end of your 8 hours.)
You will receive a TFcon volunteer Tshirt!
A favorable addition to your resume/school volunteer hours!
Invites to other conventions where the staff promote TFcon!

Highly recommend doing this. I did it last year. It was a lot of fun, I got to meet some really great people I otherwise would not have, and at the end of the 8 hours I got my registration fee back, so I basically got into both days for free.

TFCon 2011 was my 2nd TFCon and also my second year volunteering as well, its an amazing time, all the TFCon staff are GREAT people and alot of fun to work with. If your thinking about volunteering at TFCon but unsure, I highly recommend it!

It was the second time volunteering at TFcon for me this year, and it was undoubtedly better than last year. It was great to see all the attendees, dealers, special guests, and the staff members all having a stellar time together! Already planning on coming back next year, hoping to see more volunteers step up and make the next TFcon even better than the last!

I would like to send a BIG thank you to those who volunteered this year. You guys did a great job, and did the jobs that no one else really wants to do. :p

But really, volunteering is sometimes a thankless job, and I wanted to make sure you guys got your thanks.
