It seems like you need to have it shipped directly to your house, no option to collect in store...

Appears so, but for 5$, it's worth saving the gas money and odds of headaches if they pack it in the back, a bunch of people around, waiting in line, etc.

Let's just say that my last couple of experience in the stores were bad, and I've even made a full complaint over one incident.. if these weren't exclusives via their stores, I'd buy elsewhere.

He also has a street date of September 1st which is better than the October 1st which is the date I was told.
I think the cashier was confusing Ratchet with Smokescreen which is due out October 1st but then with so
many different street dates for Marvel, Star Wars and Transformers it's hard to not to mix some things up.

If you can find something that you want to boost the total to $35, you get free shipping. I selected a pack of magic cards, and after all was said and done, I basically paid a buck for the pack. Something to consider.

How is it that EBGames preorders sell out in less than 24 hours? Don't they want the money that will basically be thrown at them for these exclusives?

The preorders were available in-store for a few weeks now. They probably ran out.

Well, considering that Smokescreen is also out of stock... I'm glad that I didn't hesitate on either of them.

I wonder how many in-store pre-order were actually made as this was not something that anyone but collectors would have known about. I'd believe that the online pre-order simply went wild and sucked their numbers dry.

But like the Ecto, there's probably a very limited number that they managed to get, as that one sold out online real fast and I've never seen it in the wild, as when I ask, the clerks have all said the same, which is that they are sold almost instantly when they were taken out.

Holy crap am I glad I went in and pre ordered at the store yesterday.
