Thought it would probably be a good idea to make a separate thread so we can keep it out of the XOne discussion.

Here's everything that was disclosed during the press conference:

Cost at launch: 399$
Online will require Playstation Plus, but a free game will be offered every month.
Lots of support for indie developers
There's also going to be NO restrictions what so ever with the console.

Like I said in the xbox thread, ps4 looks to be leading this race, but there is still a lot to come out. Kudos to them for listening to what gamers want.

Sucks that online is going to require Playstation+
There goes all my online gaming... it's just one more monthly fee I can't add to the already high internet/cable bill. C'est la vie.

It is a pain that you have to buy a Playstation Plus to play online, even if they do give you a free game every month...honestly, the games that they do give for free are usually old and not interesting


With that being said, if I had to buy a console (which I don't, I would go with PS4

Yeah the PS+ for online was a bit of a kick in the pants.

Had they kept it free, there's no way they aren't winning the next gen.
