I'm going to start by talking about my TFcon history. I just started collecting transformers in 2003 near the tail end of Armada. Two years later I found out about a Transformers show at the airport near my place. I couldn't believe it when I heard it since this was a great way to get all those past figures I wanted looking at pictures on the internet. Little did I know that year Gary Chalke (aka Optimus Primal) would be the special guest that year. I hung around the dealer room and heard a voice which immediatly clicked in my head, and to my suprise Optimus frickin Primal was standing behind me!
I made a point to view his panel and had one hell of a time. I made it a point to try and make it every year (which was slighty tough while in university and April being exam time, but never missed one since my first time :P) and TFcon 2006 rocked as I got to meet Tracks, one of my favourite Autobots. Between TFcon 2006 and 2007 I ran into JLvatron at the same comic store where I found out about TFcon. He asked if I'd volunteer for the show next year to which I couldn't say no, especially after I found out that 2007's guest was none other then Michael Bell (Prowl, Sideswipe, Swoop, and most importantly Lance from Voltron) whose voice acting I just love.
That years show had to be one of my favourites thanks to him alone, my brother was like a gitty school girl since he loves Michael Bell and Prowl/Lance more then anyone I know. After that show I was welcomed to the TFcon staff and became involved in the planning of TFcon 2008, a great show where I got to meet many members from Cybertron.ca in person, and drank with Gregg Burger after a long but worthwhile show.
I'm glad to be part of the TFcon crew and make a show that you all appreciate. While still involved with the planning of the show, I'm now in charge of Operations with Code of Honor for TFcon 2009. So here's to another awesome show transfans!
