If there was a G1 based TF short series with a toyline, it'd make me feel that the classics line was a waste.

They don't need to write any new story: just use one of the timelines from Marvel, DW or IDW. Any one of these have deeper, more "adult oriented", storylines than any TF animations combined. I would love to see IDW "Stormbringer" being animated!

Or may be they have something totally different in mind for an "adult oriented" TF series? :p :D

I wonder what angle a more adult oriented Transformer story would take. Would it be from the perspective of the robots or from the humans? I wonder how gritty a Transformer storyline can become before it becomes silly.
Whatever the direction, this is something older fans have been waiting for.
