Those are just display cases for 1:18 model cars.
I got them years ago from a store at a mall that's no longer around. You can find them at auto show kiosks, sports memorabilia and hobby stores probably and definitely Amazon (I just checked).

I use 3/16" wire rope clips. You can get them at any hardware store

It was a little difficult as I'm not very good at soldering but I managed. Just got to take your time, take some rough measurements and give yourself a bit of extra wire just in case.
What I ended up doing was running a positive and negative wire up the length of the unit and branching off at each level. At each section, I stripped the wire running the length soldered the wires running from the LED strips and heat shrink them.
You can also do the same thing using these blue crimping connectors I got from Canadian Tire.
